Home Remedies For RLS

Even though misunderstood, RLS has been a major problem for many sufferers and over time there have been many home remedies to deal with the problem.

TMJ Doctor
The TMJ doctors, treats TMJ dislocations and make sure that you are relieved from all of your jaw pains and tensions.

Typically, these will not cure the RLS but will provide some relief of the symptoms.

One that has worked for me in the past is taking a very hot bath for 45 minutes or so. Once the symptoms begin, I pour a bath that is as hot as I can stand it and I will sit in it for a long time, sometimes up to an hour. Many people believe that RLS is a circulation issue and I suppose that the hot water helps your circulation as it shunts the blood to your extremities. It is inconvenient to go for a bath every night at 2 in the morning or so but it is nice to know that I have a sure fire relief from the symptoms if I need it.

Others swear that wearing shoes to bed or compression stockings help the symptoms. These methods have never been effective for me but again, RLS is such an individual problem.

An interesting number of people have said that taking apple cider vinegar before bed (2 teaspoons or so) has a positive effect on RLS.

Personally, I find that my RLS is greatly exacerbated during times of stress. I would like to explore something like yoga to see if relaxation techniques would be successful.
