It would not be hard for the in house doctor to check the records of the patient electronically. Although there are more technologically advanced doctors that can access your medical records via the world wide web on their PDA or mobile phone, even during a vacation!

Hopefully, all the doctors around the world will follow suit. One does not have to worry about the medical records leaking out because these databases have appropriate stringent security protesting sensitive information. The clinic, and the hospital, makes sure of that.
